Talents

Talent builds: view, compare and export talent strings

Talent trees are where good players quietly gain their edge. MythicKey shows the full class tree, spec tree and hero talents for every character, with tooltips and a one click export string you can paste straight into the game. This guide explains how to use it.

Viewing a build

Open any character profile and scroll to the talents panel. You will see the active loadout for the character's current spec with every chosen node highlighted. Hover a node on desktop, or tap it on mobile, to read the tooltip pulled from Wowhead.

Exporting a talent string

Press Export to copy the build as a talent import string. In game, open the talents window, choose Import and paste the string to load the exact same build as a new loadout. This is the quickest way to borrow a friend's setup for a specific dungeon or boss.

  • Strings are spec specific, so make sure you are in the same spec before importing
  • Hero talents are included in the string
  • Loadouts can be saved with a name so you can switch between them

Spotting build changes

Because profiles are refreshed on every visit and tracked characters are snapshotted, a friend swapping from one hero tree to another is visible the next time you open their profile. Combine it with the run history and you can see whether the new build actually produced higher keys.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see talents for a character I do not track?

Yes. Talents are part of the public profile, so any character you search for shows them.

Why does the panel show a different spec than I expected?

Blizzard exposes the spec the character last logged out in. If your friend plays two specs, the one shown is whichever they used last.
