How to track your WoW friends' progress
Most World of Warcraft tools answer one question: how good is this character right now? MythicKey answers a different one: what have my friends been up to? This guide walks through building a tracking list and reading the feed it produces.
Step 1: search any character
Start on the home page or dashboard and type a character name. MythicKey matches names across EU and US realms after two letters and orders the results by rating and level, so the character you mean is usually at the top. No account is needed for search or profiles.
Step 2: press track
On any profile, press Track and choose a category: friends, rivals, nemesis, watchlist or guild. Categories are purely for you. They decide where a character shows up on the Tracked page and how the feed groups them. You can move characters between categories, pause them or stop tracking at any time.
Step 3: read the feed
From that point MythicKey takes snapshots of every tracked character and compares them. The Activity page lists every new Mythic+ run, gear upgrade, raid kill, rating gain and achievement in one timeline, with the newest changes since your last visit highlighted. The Dashboard summarizes who has been grinding and who went quiet.

Import your own characters
If you connect your Battle.net account, MythicKey imports your own characters automatically and keeps them separate from friends, so your alts never clutter the social feed. Your own progress lives on the Grindwatch page instead.
Frequently asked questions
Do my friends know I am tracking them?
No. Tracking only reads public Blizzard data. It sends nothing to the character or player.
How many characters can I track?
There is no hard limit. Lists in the hundreds work, though very long lists refresh more slowly.
How fresh is the data?
Blizzard updates character data with some delay, usually within minutes of logging out or completing content. Activity times reflect that data, not confirmed online presence.
