Mythic+ timers, TIMED +2 and TIMED +3
Every Mythic+ dungeon has a timer, and beating it by a wide margin upgrades your keystone by more than one level. MythicKey labels runs as TIMED, TIMED +2 or TIMED +3 so you can see at a glance how comfortably a friend cleared. Here is what each label means.
The dungeon timer
Each dungeon has a fixed par time, typically somewhere between thirty and forty minutes. Finishing under that time is a timed run, the keystone upgrades and full rating is awarded. Finishing over it is a depleted run: you still get loot and a smaller rating gain, but the keystone drops a level.
TIMED, TIMED +2 and TIMED +3
The margin matters. Beat the timer by less than 20 percent and the key upgrades by one level. Beat it by 20 to 40 percent and it upgrades by two. Beat it by 40 percent or more and it upgrades by three. Players still call these one, two and three chests from older expansions, which is why you will hear both terms.
- TIMED: under the timer, key upgrades by one
- TIMED +2: at least 20 percent under, key upgrades by two
- TIMED +3: at least 40 percent under, key upgrades by three
- Depleted: over the timer, key drops by one
How MythicKey shows runs
Every run card lists the dungeon, keystone level, affixes, the label above, how far under or over the timer the group finished, and the full party with the tank first, then the healer, then the three damage dealers. Runs are timestamped relative to now, so a card reads 19 hours ago rather than a raw date.
The best keys panel on each profile shows the highest run per dungeon in the current season, which is exactly the set of runs that makes up the rating.
Frequently asked questions
Does a depleted key give any rating?
Yes, but less than a timed run, and the penalty grows with how far over the timer the group finished. Extremely slow runs award nothing.
Why is one run labelled TIMED +3 at a low level?
Groups often overgear low keys and finish them in half the par time. The label reflects the margin, not the difficulty.
